The Royal Princeton In-heritage Philharmonic International Mathematics Olympiad offers students a unique opportunity to broaden their horizons and enhance their problem-solving and analytical skills.  Through participating in this prestigious competition, students may potentially open the doors to scholarships, prestigious summer course packages at Cambridge University and Oxford University in the UK, award ceremonies, gifted programmes, and opportunities for admission to preferred universities.

We are honoured to have our mathematics team led by Mr. Frederick Ho from Singapore, a distinguished educator with over 35 years of international teaching experience. As a former Senior Curriculum Officer and teacher of Mathematics at prestigious institutions, including international IB high schools and universities, Mr. Ho brings unparalleled expertise to the table. He is also a co-author of various Cambridge IGCSE, O-Level, and A-Level Mathematics textbooks published and to be published by Marshall Cavendish Education. With Mr. Ho at the helm, our team will craft questions that ensure the assessments are insightful and uphold the highest standards of excellence.

Top winners, having achieved the highest scores in their respective school year levels, are set to receive prestigious Royal Princeton Scholarships. Top winners who achieve our Royal Princeton Super Cup Top Award may earn the full packages with scholarships, air tickets, meals, and accommodation for prestigious summer courses at Cambridge University and Oxford University in the UK!  Additionally, these distinguished students will be invited to attend the esteemed Royal Princeton In-heritage Philharmonic Top Winners Ceremony, which will be held in the afternoon on Saturday, 7th June 2025, at HKPC Conference Hall, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. Result Reports for Schools and Students
Our digital result reports are enriched with comparative statistical data and charts for participating schools and provide individualised insights for students. They empower both schools and participants to develop effective strategies for addressing unfamiliar questions, and identifying their strengths and weaknesses. These reports play a vital role in guiding students towards enhancing their mathematics skills by providing essential insights that drive academic growth and proficiency.
ALL participants will receive paper certificates by mid-June.

2025 Mathematics Olympiad: For Schools
School Year Level
Students from Primary 3 to Secondary 4, or Year 4 to Year 11
Testing Period
Monday, 10th February 2025 to Saturday, 22nd March 2025 (6 weeks)
Languages
English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese
Duration and Structure
Primary 3 and 4 (Year 4 and 5):
45 minutes; Total 30 Questions (25 MCQ + 5 open ended questions)
Primary 5 to Secondary 4 (Year 5 to Year 11):
60 minutes; Total 30 Questions (25 MCQ + 5 open ended questions)
Most questions align with common topics in standard Hong Kong Mathematics Curricula.
Primary students cannot use electronic calculators.
Secondary students can use “HKEAA or HKEA APPROVED” electronic calculators.
Medium and Venue
  • Students will take the tests online at school, with teachers supervising to ensure fairness and integrity. This ensures all students have an equal opportunity to perform their best.
