The Royal Princeton In-heritage Philharmonic International English Olympiad presents a unique opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and enhance their English language reading literacy skills. Through participating in this prestigious competition, students may potentially open the doors to scholarships, prestigious summer course packages at Cambridge University and Oxford University in the UK, award ceremonies, exhibitions, gifted programmes, and opportunities for admission to preferred universities.

Our expertly crafted English language reading literacy tests are designed by a team of experienced native English-speaking teachers. Each test features a diverse array of articles spanning stories, science, geography, and the humanities, ensuring that every reading experience is both engaging and educational. Our thoughtfully curated contents ensure that students will enjoy reading the articles and finding joy in answering the questions. With each test, students will expand their knowledge and improve their reading skills, making learning an exciting adventure. 

Top winners who achieve the highest scores in their respective school year levels are set to receive the prestigious Royal Princeton Scholarships. Those top winners who achieve the Royal Princeton Super Cup Top Award may qualify for full packages, including scholarships, air tickets, meals, and accommodation, for prestigious summer courses at Cambridge University and Oxford University in the UK!  In addition, these distinguished students will be invited to attend the esteemed Royal Princeton In-heritage Philharmonic Top Winners Ceremony, which will be held in the afternoon on Saturday, 7th June 2025, at HKPC Conference Hall, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. Such recognition may boost their confidence and inspires continued excellence and dedication in their future endeavours.

Result Reports for Schools and Students
Our digital result reports are enriched with comparative statistical data and charts for participating schools and provide individualised insights for students. They empower both schools and participants to evaluate student progress and proficiency in English, and to identify their strengths and weaknesses. This targeted feedback enables students to focus on necessary improvements and enhance their English proficiency.
ALL participants will receive paper certificates by mid-June.

2025 English Olympiad: For Schools
School Year Level
Students from Primary 3 to Secondary 4, or Year 4 to Year 11
Testing Period
Monday, 10th February 2025 to Saturday, 22nd March 2025 (6 weeks)
Duration and Structure
Primary 3 and 4 (Year 4 and 5):
45 minutes; Total 35 Questions (multiple-choice, matching, and fill-in-the-blank)
Primary 5 to Secondary 4 (Year 5 to Year 11):
60 minutes; Total 50 Questions (multiple-choice, matching, and fill-in-the-blank)
Medium and Venue
  • Students will take the tests online at school, with teachers supervising to ensure fairness and integrity. This ensures all students have an equal opportunity to perform their best.
